Wilfred Cabral Chaves, 83, of Hilo died May 20 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired iron worker for Hawaiian Reinforced Steel and member of Iron Workers Union Local 625, and served as union trustee for 20 years. Visitation 10-11 a.m. Monday (June 6) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Celebration of life will begin at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Alae Cemetery. Casual attire.
