APAC casts ‘A Kidsummer Night’s Dream’

Thirty-four youngsters ranging in age from 6-17 were cast in Aloha Performing Arts Company’s production “A Kidsummer Night’s Dream,” based on the works of William Shakespeare.

Thirty-four youngsters ranging in age from 6-17 were cast in Aloha Performing Arts Company’s production “A Kidsummer Night’s Dream,” based on the works of William Shakespeare.

Appearing throughout the play are the “rude mechanicals” from “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” They are Bottom, Quince, Flute, Snout, Snug and Starveling, portrayed by Miles Prado, Colten Clarke, Patrick Riehle, Manu Levine, Aaron Inda and Ella Prado, respectively. Prado also plays Hamlet later in the play and Riehle also appears as Mercutio.

The production is directed by Jerry Tracy, assisted by Tabitha Robbins. Producers are John Holliday and Felicity Johnson.

“A Kidsummer Night’s Dream” will be performed at the Aloha Theatre in Kainaliu for two weekends: June 10-12 and 17-19. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees are at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and young adults and $5 for children. For more information, call 322-9924.
