The College of Continuing Education and Community Service at the University of Hawaii at Hilo is offering a free presentation, “Parenting in the Digital Age,” from 5-6:30 p.m. May 31 in UCB Room 100.

The College of Continuing Education and Community Service at the University of Hawaii at Hilo is offering a free presentation, “Parenting in the Digital Age,” from 5-6:30 p.m. May 31 in UCB Room 100.

Youth media educator, freelance video producer and father of three Desi Foxe facilitates this interactive workshop designed to examine some of the challenges of raising children in this age of the internet.

Participants will learn strategies to support their child’s online exploration while keeping them safe; the effects of media on the developing brain; and ways to ensure that interpersonal skills are not sacrificed because of overuse of electronic screens.
