Hilo High taking coaching applications

Hilo High is accepting applications for a boys varsity basketball head coach, girls varsity soccer head coach and boys/girls air riflery head coach.

All interested applicants can pick up application at the school’s main office.

The deadline to apply is April 8.

Hoops camp in Honokaa

The Kalakaua Basketball Camp, featuring coach Dennis Agema, will be held April 8-10 at Honokaa Parks and Rec Gym.

For students in kindergarten through 12th grade, registration will be at 4:30 p.m. April 8.

The fee is $60, and bentos can be per-ordered for $5 a day.

Walk-ins will be accepted.

Hilo High fundraiser

The Hilo Athletic Committee in partnership with the athletic department will be holding its annual winter-spring steak-fry fundraiser from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday at the school gym.

Kiawe-grilled steak plates will be on sale for $9 per plate.

Saint Joseph adult hoops

Saint Joseph School is holding a fundraiser for the boys junior varsity and junior varsity basketball teams.

The league will start end of April.

Mixed volleyball

A mixed volleyball league will start on April 5 and has two openings for A and B division teams.

All ages are eligible, and the league runs from April 5 to May 24 every Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Cost is $40 per team. Registration deadline is March 29.
