William Leroy Dulaney, 86, of Hilo died March 18 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. He was a retired construction worker, member of Victory Chapel in Hilo and U.S. Marine Corps. veteran. No known survivors. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Efren G. Niedo, 42, of Hilo died March 14 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in the Philippines, he was a dietary kitchen aid at Life Care Center of Hilo. Visitation 6-9 p.m. followed by a Wake service at 7 p.m. Sunday (April 3) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Visitation again 8-10 a.m. Monday (April 4), with Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo. Casual attire; flowers welcome. Burial at Homelani Memorial Park (Ilima Section). Survived by wife, Evelyn B. Niedo of Hilo; son, Jan Gio “Janggo” Niedo of Hilo; mother, Carlina G. Niedo of the Philippines; brothers, Marvin Niedo and Jerome Niedo of the Philippines; sister, Marites Niedo of the Philippines; grandparents, Casimiro and Cesaria Cacho of Hilo; mother in-law, Quirino Balagot of Hilo; brother in-law, Jamie (Leticia) Balagot of Hilo; sisters-in-law, Criselda Balagot and Librada Roncales of Hilo; friend, Elizabeth Bermundes of Hilo; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Jacqueline “Jackie” Hearne Roberts, 70, of Pahoa died March 24 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired OB-GYN nurse for the Medical Center for Women in Fullerton, Calif., and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pahoa. Private services to be at a later date. Survived by daughters, Kimberly (Dallas Koons) Roberts of Pahoa and Dierdre (Dodi Chase) Bollman of Indiana; brothers, Bob (Tammy) Springer of Minnesota and John (Terry) Springer of Tennessee; one grandson, one granddaughter and four great-grandchildren. Joan Shaw, 77, of Hilo died March 21 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Kona, she was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Catholic High School and retired bookkeeper.
