The Department of Land and Natural Resources announced Thursday the selection of Lino Kamakau as Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement Hawaii Island branch chief.

The Department of Land and Natural Resources announced Thursday the selection of Lino Kamakau as Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement Hawaii Island branch chief.

According to a written DLNR statement, Kamakau served a decade as a Hawaii Police Department officer before 17 years with DOCARE.

Kamakau had been acting branch chief for the Big Island since September 2014.
