Freshman Stijn van Tilburg smacked a career-high 21 kills Friday night as the Rainbow Warriors toppled top-ranked UCLA 18-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-18 in front of a crowd of 4,350 at Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.

UH (9-1, 4-1 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) earned its fifth consecutive victory against the Bruins (10-1, 6-1) and gave coach Charlie Wade his 1ooth career victory.

Van Tilburg hit .381, with 16 of his kills coming in the final two sets. Sinisa Zarkovic added 15 kills, two aces and nine digs.

The teams match up again at 7 p.m. Saturday.
