Parker Farris

Parker Farris

Sport: Basketball

The performance: It was feast or famine for Farris last week, but thanks to him, UH-Hilo pulled out victories in both instances.

Vulcans teammate Jordan Russell earned the Pacific West Conference Player of the Week honor – he averaged 21.7 points as UH-Hilo went 2-1 – but Farris gets the nod here for his flair for the dramatic.

On Jan. 18, the junior guard hit a school-record nine 3-pointers and scored 32 points as the Vulcans beat Fresno Pacific 98-80. On Saturday, Farris shook off a rough 0-for-6 effort to hit the game-winning jumper at the buzzer in a 66-64 victory against Hawaii Pacific.
