A man and a woman face numerous charges after being arrested in another person’s Hilo home.

At 11 p.m. Monday, officers responded to a report of a possible domestic dispute at a home on the 200 block of Iwalani Street.

They found two people in the house, including a man who had a temporary restraining order against him by the home’s owner, an 86-year-old woman.

Police arrested 30-year-old Davin Mizuno of Hilo and 21-year-old Ashley Szewerda of Mountain View.

During the investigation, police found a koa jewelry box in a bag belonging to Szewerda. Officers reportedly took the jewelry box into evidence and 0.7 grams of heroin, three prescription pills, two marijuana pipes and other drug paraphernalia from Szewerda’s purse.

On Wednesday, Mizuno was charged with criminal trespass and violating a court order. His bail was set at $1,500. Szewerda was charged with criminal trespass, theft, promoting a dangerous drug, promoting a harmful drug, marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia. Her bail was set at $9,000.

Both remained at the Hilo police cellblock until their initial court appearances Thursday.
