“Stomping out addiction” is the year-round mission of ACCESS Capabilities, but it takes on more meaning during the holiday season.

“Stomping out addiction” is the year-round mission of ACCESS Capabilities, but it takes on more meaning during the holiday season.

ACCESS, which assists individuals and families affected by substance abuse and interpersonal violence, is hosting a Journey to Sobriety Walk and Family Day from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 5 at Panaewa Park.

The free event, offered in partnership with the Panaewa Community Association and Solid Rock Ministries, will include keiki games and activities, live entertainment, a health and fitness tent, food and drinks, arts and crafts vendors, social service representatives, door prizes and giveaways.

Participants who bring a Christmas gift for a keiki in need will receive a raffle ticket for a door prize, and look for Santa and his helpers.
