Police are seeking the public’s help in locating several items taken in a theft from a Hilo nonprofit organization.

Police are seeking the public’s help in locating several items taken in a theft from a Hilo nonprofit organization.

Sometime between mid-afternoon Wednesday and Friday morning, unknown persons entered the ARC of Hilo on Waianuenue Avenue and took a trailer containing landscaping equipment.

The trailer is described as a 2013 Carson 5 x 10-foot utility trailer, license plate number 745 HYZ. In the trailer were three orange-and-silver Stihl weed trimmers, one 15-gallon poison sprayer, five green RYOBI “Echo” backpack blowers, one red Shindaiwa 18” chainsaw, one black-and-red Honda 21-inch lawnmower and one orange Stihl hedger.

Anyone with informationis asked to call Officer Robert Pule at 961-2213 or the police non-emergency line at 935-3311. Those who prefer anonymity may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
