Hawaii improved to 4-0 after winning its own Rainbow Classic tournament.

Roderick Bobbitt, the first Big West Conference Player of the Week, dished out 10 assists, grabbed seven rebounds and scored 11 points for Hawaii after setting a tournament single game record with 14 assists against Montana State.

The Rainbow Warriors came out firing against the Nicholls State, hitting 23 of their first 33 shots (69.7 percent) and 4 of their first 8 shots from beyond the arc to take a 54-28 lead at intermission. Hawaii finished shooting 39 of 59 (66.1 percent) and 10 of 23 from distance.

Ja’Dante’ Frye and T.J. Carpenter scored 27 and 25 points, respectively, to lead Nicholls State (1-2).

Women

Konawaena graduate scored a career-high 16 points to lead Washington State to a 62-52 victory against at the Rainbow Wahine Classic at Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.

Briana Harris scored 19 points for Hawaii (3-1), which committed 23 turnovers and shot just 28.6 percent.

Awa shot 6 of 11 and scored six points in the fourth quarter to break her previous career high of 13 points set against Nebraska in 2013.
