Samuel Robert “Robby” Hiu Moku, 59, of Hawi died Oct. 2 at home. Born in Hawaii, he was a carpenter, former maintenance worker for Hilton Hawaiian Village, fisherman and lure designer and Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama 1974 graduate. Celebration of life noon Sunday (Nov. 8) at Keokea Beach Park, large pavilion. Lunch will be served. Survived by daughter, Brandi Moku of Kaneohe, Oahu; mother, Vivian M.V. Moku of Hawi; brother, “Butchie” Moku of Hawaii; four nieces, one nephew, one grandniece; four grandnephews; uncles, aunts and cousins. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Edward Darrell Paulos, 57, of Hilo died Oct. 10 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he owned Ed’s Hauling and Rental, was a truck driver for the former Hilo Coast Processing Co., Alan Meyers Trucking, P&P Trucking, C&F Trucking, Pacific Coast Trucking, Yamada Enterprises and Hamakua Sugar Co., shelf stocker for the former A&B Hardware and member of Hawaii Classic Cruisers. Visitation 5-6 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 7) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service/celebration of life at 6 p.m. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by companion, Lena Simeona of Hilo; son, Edward Darrell Paulos Jr. of Hilo; sisters, Sharon (Glenn) Aoki and Doreen Kaneko of Hilo; nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Nan Toshiko Tome, 57, of Hilo, died Oct. 8 at home. Born in Honolulu, she was retired from the state Department of Human Services Med-Quest Division and member of Ahualani Kumiai and Hawaii Government Employees Association. Visitation 3:30-5 p.m. Friday (Nov. 6) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 5 p.m. Oahu visitation from 3-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15 at Hosoi Garden Mortuary, Honolulu. Memorial service at 4 p.m. Casual attire. Survived by husband, Leslie Tome of Hilo; daughter, Lindsey Tome of Hilo; mother, Annette Takahashi of Honolulu; brother, Tod Takahashi of Honolulu; aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws. Mazie Yaeko Tsutahara, 94, of Hilo died Oct. 20 at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired baker and cook for the former Paramount Grill, Himin Drive-in and Hilo Lanes Restaurant and waitress at the former Boomers Restaurant. Services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by daughter, Rachel Hayashi of Portland, Ore.; sons, Roy (Kay) Tsutahara and Melvyn (Grace) Tsutahara of Honolulu, Glenn Tsutahara of Hilo; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
