The public is invited to attend a full day of Bible discussions during the “Imitate Their Faith” assembly Nov. 1 at the Edith Kanakaole Multipurpose Stadium in Hilo.

Doors open at 8 a.m. and the assembly starts at 9:40. Following Jesus’ command from Matthew 10:8-9 — “You received free, give free. Do not procure gold or silver or copper for your girdle purses” — the assembly is free and no collections will be taken.

The theme of the assembly is from Hebrews 13:7, “Remember those who are taking the lead among you, who have spoken the word of God to you, and as you contemplate how their conduct turns out, imitate their faith.” Some of the topics to be discussed include “Do Exactly What I Do,” “Imitate the Endurance of the Prophets” and “Become Imitators of Me,” which is a talk with demonstrations and interviews by Jehovah Witness Hawaii Circuit Overseer Gary Boyce.

At 11:05 a.m., “How Has Their Conduct Turned Out?” will be presented by Tom Cheiky, a representative of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society in New York.

“Jehovah ‘Will Help You’ Inherit the Kingdom” and baptism are slated for 11:35 a.m. At 2:15 p.m., “Youths — Become an Example to Faithful Ones” is scheduled, and “Imitate Holy Women of the Past” is slated for 2:30 p.m.

The final discussion of the day will be by keynote speaker Cheiky and is titled “Imitate Those Who Through Faith and Patience Inherit the Promises.” The assembly ends at 3:55 p.m.

All speakers except Cheiky are from Hawaii Island.
