“Personal Honu,” an image by biologist Nancy Chaney of Volcano, won the People’s Choice award in the recent “Big Island: In the Eye of the Beholder” exhibit sponsored by the Hawaii Photo Shooters at the Hawaii Museum of Contemporary Art. Chaney has lived in Hawaii for 13 years and experiences the island through photography, scuba diving and quilting.
