Seventeen-year-old Kahekili Krause of Puna broke free from the Hawaii Youth Correctional Facility officer shortly before 4 pm. Friday. He was last seen near Prince Kuhio Plaza.

Police describe Krause as 6-feet tall, with a thin build, tan complexion, medium-length brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 961-8300.
