Police are investigating a reported home invasion Wednesday evening in Puna.

Officers responding to an 8:25 p.m. call learned two men wearing masks had gone to a home on 23rd Avenue in Hawaiian Paradise Park and assaulted a 64-year-old man. The men then reportedly fled in a white pickup truck, possibly a Nissan or Datsun.

One suspect was described as about 5-foot-10 and about 180 pounds. The other was described as about 5-foot-6 and between 120 and 130 pounds. Both were described as being clad in black and masked.

Anyone with information about this case or the possible identity of the suspects is asked to call the police non-emergency line at 935-3311. Those who prefer anonymity may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
