Hospice of Hilo announced the addition of it newest volunteers. The new volunteers are, front row from left, Azura Khan, Judy Grogg and Karen Tanaka; middle row, from left, Gabriele McClure, Theresa Taylor and Christine Rutherford; back row from left, Shirley LaForge, Megan Hayakawa, Susan Nakamura-Koge, Cianna Rivera, Nicole Clark, Marion Kittelson-Villanueva, Anne Sheftic, Alex Sheftic, Sherise Moniz and Jeanette Mochida. Hospice volunteers provide an array of supportive services, including patient, respite and bereavement care, transportation, companionship, shopping, errands, active listening and reading, as well as office administrative support, community education and public relations.
