Thomasine “Tomy” Susana Deitch, 70, of Pahoa died Aug. 3 at home. Born in Wahiawa, Oahu, she was a retired kitchen worker for the Naniloa Hotel, former van driver for Hawaii County Economic Opportunity Council, and reverend for Three Days Three Nights The Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Monday (Aug. 10) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park, Ilima section. Casual attire. Saburo “Sabu” Fukunaga, 90, of Pahala died July 11 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Pahala, he was a retired welder for the former Ka‘u Sugar Co., U.S. Army World War II veteran and member of Pahala Hongwanji Mission and Hi-Lo Golf Club. Services held. Survived by sister, Yoneko Sakai of Mililani, Oahu; brother-in-law, Teruo “Terry” Taniguchi of Kailua, Oahu; sister-in-law, Gladys Fukunaga of Seattle; nieces and nephews. Sanford “Gus” Tatsuya Higashi, 90, of Kealakekua died June 28 at home. Born in Honaunau, he was a transportation officer for the Department of Accounting and General Services, coffee and macadamia nut farmer, member of American Legion, Kona Historical Society, Hawaii Farm Bureau, Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, Honaunau Kumi No. 2, Kumamoto Kenjinkai and U.S. Army World War II veteran. Visitation 3-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, at Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple in Kealakekua. Memorial service at 4 p.m. Casual attire; no flowers. Robin “Bob” Julius Pedrazzini, 68, of Kailua-Kona died July 31 at home. Born in Richmond, Calif., he was a property manager and real estate investor. Private services.
