Ku‘ikahi Mediation Center elected three new directors to its board for three-year terms effective July 1.

Joining the Hilo-based nonprofit are Douglass S. Adams, Tracie White and Jennifer Zelko-Schlueter.

Adams, elected Ku‘ikahi’s board secretary, is an attorney, retired Army lieutenant colonel and vice chair of W.H. Shipman Ltd. Adams serves on numerous boards and committees, and is a longtime supporter of dispute resolution services.

White is the branch manager for HPM Building Supply in Hilo. She has a strong background in fundraising, training, marketing, publishing and networking. White has served on the boards and volunteered for various schools and nonprofits.

Zelko-Schlueter previously worked as an associate attorney for the law firm of Torkildson, Katz, Moore, Hetherington &Harris and currently is director of government relations at HELCO. She serves as an arbitrator and Hilo Self-Help Center volunteer.

Ku‘ikahi Mediation Center offers mediation, facilitation and training to strengthen the ability of diverse individuals and groups to resolve interpersonal conflicts and community issues.
