Nearly 40 fiber artists islandwide are displaying more than 100 art objects consisting of quilts, baskets, weavings, sculptures and fashion design at the inaugural contemporary fiber art exhibit May 1-28 in the Main Gallery of the Wailoa Center.

Nearly 40 fiber artists islandwide are displaying more than 100 art objects consisting of quilts, baskets, weavings, sculptures and fashion design at the inaugural contemporary fiber art exhibit May 1-28 in the Main Gallery of the Wailoa Center.

The opening reception and an informal fashion show will be 5-7 p.m. Friday.

This exhibition is free and open to the public. Musical entertainment and light refreshments will be served.
