Air Force Airman 1st Class Kamiana K. Jardine recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Kamiana K. Jardine recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

The airman completed an intensive eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Jardine is the son of Yolan Jardine of Naalehu, and Damien Jardine of Waikoloa, and nephew of Kwai-Chang Akiu, Kimo Akiu and Augustine Akiu Jr., all of Waiohinu.

He is a 2009 graduate of Kamehameha Schools Hawaii in Keaau.
