The Hawaii International Film Festival kicked off the Spring Showcase Friday night with a Japanese film for opening night, “A Samurai Chronicle.”

The Spring Showcase runs through April 19, closing with a Zhang Yimou film, “Coming Home,” staring Gong Li. There are seven Korean films this year with “Big Match,” “Chronicle of a Blood Merchant,” “Gangnam Blues,” “Granny’s Got Talent,” “Love Forecast,” “The Royal Tailor” and “My Love Don’t Cross That River.”

“Family Is Coming”

Episodes 19 &20

Today, 6:30 p.m.: Jun-hui breaks up with Dong-seok because she can’t stand to hurt the family anymore. Dong-seok tells his mother that he won’t see Jun-hui anymore, but for some reason it doesn’t really make her happy. So, Keut-sun decides to help her grandson get the love of his life. Jeong-suk takes the bait. She’ll accept Jun-hui as long as Dong-seok goes to study abroad. Keut-sun’s memory loss worsens, but she tries to hold on. Today, 7:45 p.m.: Keut-sun gives the whole family a scare when she walks out without telling anyone. One year later, the care facility and orphanage are up and running. The whole family pitches in with the care facility and Jun-a operates the orphanage. Dong-seok returns to find his family and Jun-hui happy. The only thing that saddens him is that Keut-sun’s mind seems to have left her.

Monday, 7:45 p.m.: A brawl between the in-laws left both parties with physical pain, emotional shame and desire for revenge. Jung-ho soon collects himself and orders to put Plan D into action. Disgusted by Jung-ho’s overpowering ways, Hyong-shik and Jin-ae also fight back. Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: Yeon-hee’s repressed anger explodes and Jung-ho is at a loss what to do. He tries to recruit help to appease his wife’s anger. In-sang’s tutor tells Jung-ho Bom is a very smart girl, that she’ll probably be a better investment than In-sang.

Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: When Seo-jin learns Hana is trapped in Robin’s apartment by reporters, he heads over. When reporters question him about his relationship to Robin, Seo-jin tries to tell them that he has DID, but Ha-na stops him. Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Seo-jin understands and respects Ha-na’s decision and thanks her for finding a way for the three of them to live together in harmony. The fact Seo-jin was the mysterious webtoon artist Robin gives boost to Wonderland’s image. Seo-jin and Robin take a crash course on each other.

Friday, 7:45 p.m.: Do-hoon shows up at Soon-jung’s chicken restaurant all dressed up and plastered. Soon-jung gets him inside with help from a stranger, but he leaves saying her chicken is awful. Soon-jin is in shock after finding the truth about her husband. Saturday, 7:45 p.m.: Soon-jin asks Gwan-mo to help her find Soon-jung. Woon-tak’s obsession over Soon-jin gets worse when he suspects Soon-jin found out the truth. Soon-jung and Do-hoon get very close, and Soon-chul is getting jealous.
