Cardiovascular diseases and stroke are the leading causes of death in Hawaii. To assist people affected by stroke, a Hilo stroke survivor support group meets 4-5 p.m. every second Tuesday of the month at the Hilo Medical Center, Ground Conference Room A &B.

The group’s next meeting is April 14. Everyone is welcome — stroke survivors, caregivers, family, friends, professionals or people who want to learn more about strokes.
