Big Island Toastmasters to compete in speech contest

Kona, Hilo, East Hawaii and the newly chartered Waimea Toastmasters will meet at from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Saturday at the W.M. Keck Observatory Hualalai Conference Room, 65-1120 Mamalahoa Highway in Waimea, to compete in the Area 12 International and TableTopics Speech Contests.

Island clubs send one representative for each contest. The first- and second-place winners advance to the Division C Contests slated for April 11 on Oahu.

Members of the public are invited to learn more about Toastmasters by attending the event.
