Kuana Torres Kahele’s new CD, “Pi‘ilani, Maui,” debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard world music chart and in the top spot on iTunes world music chart.
The CD, recently released by Mountain Apple Company, is the third album of six planned releases in the “Music for the Hawaiian Islands” series.
Torres Kahele, a Hilo native, also is part of the traditional Hawaiian duo Na Palapalai and plays music for Johnny Lum Ho’s Halau O Ka Ua Kanilehua.
