William A. Black, Mitchell P. Medeiros, Sergio A. Rincon and Micah D. Ericson all graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas.

William A. Black, Mitchell P. Medeiros, Sergio A. Rincon and Micah D. Ericson all graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio, Texas.

The airmen completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Black is the son of Grace M. Castillo of Hilo and is a 2014 graduate of Hilo High School. Medeiros is the son of Laurie and Ty Medeiros of Hilo. He is a 2013 graduate of Hilo High School.

Rincon graduated in 2008 from Laupahoehoe High and Elementry School and earned an associate degree in 2011 from Hawaii Community College in Hilo.

Ericson is the son of Don Ericson of Oahu and Suzy Lauseng of Junction City, Kan. He is a 2014 graduate of Junction City High School.
