Big Island Association of Nurserymen is inviting the public to attend its 35th Annual Spring Show and Plant Sale.

The event will be held Friday and Saturday at the Edith Kanaka‘ole Muti-Purpose Stadium.

More than 20 growers will be there to provide expert advice and new plants for your garden.

Attendees can expect to see a variety of landscape plants, native plants, bamboo, citrus, exotic tropical fruit trees, palms, gingers, heliconias, tis, daylilies, amaryllis and more.

The Master Gardeners and College of Tropical Agriculture plant clinic, along with numerous other county, state and federal agency educational booths, will be available answer questions and provide info on services and farm loans.

A special feature this year will include a concession booth offering food and beverages. Both the educational booths and concession stand will open for early guests.

Show hours are Friday evening from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The association hosts two plant shows and sales each year. Proceeds from the sales go toward a scholarship fund.

Congratulations go out to this year’s Big Island Association of Nurserymen Excellence Scholarship winner: Yasha Paulo Eads, a senior at Honoka‘a High School.
