A tsunami warning siren will be tested today at Milolii.

The test will occur between 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

“Residents nearby may hear the siren sound for six to eight times during 30-second to one-minute intervals during the identified timeframe,” Hawaii Emergency Management Agency said in a press release.

Tests will include checks of the public address system and short blasts known as “burps,” the agency said.

Technicians will check that the siren’s installation has been completed properly.
