We will see you next year!

We will see you next year!

That’s the message from the Wailoa Center as it will be closed Dec. 22-Jan. 5 for maintenance purposes.

The center will receive fresh paint in the display areas and floor, along with various, behind-the-scenes projects to be taken on so the facility is ready to host guests in 2015.

The center’s January exhibits will open with a reception from 5-7 p.m. Jan. 9.

The main gallery will have Hawaiian Quilts on display by members of the Hui Kapa Apana with woodwork by Ray Bumatay and Sid Vierra, as well as other fine Hawaiian crafts. The fountain gallery will have an exhibit titled “Hawaii In My Heart, Watercolor Paintings by Michael Thorniley.”
