The play is being performed in the upstairs theatre of the Hawaii Museum of Modern Art, formerly East Hawaii Cultural Center, 141 Kalakaua St., in downtown Hilo.

First-grader Junie B. has a rivalry with classmate May. She and the rest of her class keep the harried teacher running in circles, and hilarity ensues.

The play’s humor is appropriate for the entire family, including the smallest children, who’ll laugh out loud.

Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for children 12 and younger, and are available online at www.hilocommunityplayers.org and at the door.
