Nola Marie Smith, 84, of Pepeekeo died Nov. 26 at home. Born in Sacramento, Calif., she was an artist, photographer, craftswoman, Korean War U.S. Air Force veteran, and member of the Hilo Orchid Society. Private services Sunday. Survived by daughters, Karen (Timothy) Greene of Pepeekeo and Rachele (Steve) Laminman of Orchidland; sister, Sandi (Chuck) Winter of Woodland, Calif.; brother, Stan Swanson; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Puanani Marciel, 69, of Kailua-Kona died Nov. 15 at Nakamaru Hale in Holualoa. Born in Honolulu, she was a corrections officer and a stained glass artist. Private service to be held.
