Police have released a 57-year-old Pahoa man from custody after his arrest Thursday in connection with a reported stabbing in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision in Puna.

Police have released a 57-year-old Pahoa man from custody after his arrest Thursday in connection with a reported stabbing in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision in Puna.

Daniel Holland of Pahoa was released pending further investigation at 2:40 p.m. Friday.

Police responded Wednesday to a 9:40 a.m report of a stabbing on 15th Avenue.

A 32-year-old Keaau man who received stab wounds to the abdomen remains at The Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu. His condition has been upgraded to serious but stable condition.
