Donna Marie Faria, 67, of Pahoa died Nov. 19 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama facility. Born in Anacortes, Wash., she was a retired registered nurse at North Hawaii Community Hospital and member of Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Private services. Survived by husband, Walter Faria Jr. of Pahoa; sons, Rob (Kandi) Lowry of Orting, Wash., and William Lowry of Oahu; four grandchildren. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

John Rodney Ferreira, 80, of Ahualoa, Honokaa, died Nov. 13 at home. Born in Hilo, he was the retired owner of the former Cattleman’s Restaurant in Waimea, former real estate broker, Kamehameha Schools graduate and U.S. Army veteran. Private services at a later date. Survived by nieces Marlisa Ferreira and Michelle Ferreira of California; nephews, Mike Ferreira of California and Marv Ferreira of Washington; sister-in-law, Marilyn Ferreira of California; hanai brother, Arthur “Toto” (Noni) Eaton of Oregon. George Louis Jay, 73, of Hilo died Nov. 9 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired pipefitter. Services pending.
