Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Papaikou will host its annual holiday bazaar and craft vendor event from 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, and 7 a.m.-1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23.

Last year, the funds raised during the annual event helped send seven delegates from various ministries of the parish to the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress.

This year, the funds will help lessen the cost of sending 11 delegates from the Religious Education and High School Youth Ministry programs to the L.A. RECongress next March. Immaculate Heart of Mary will have three teens attend Youth Day activities.

The Los Angeles Diocese hosts this event and annually has more than 40,000 attendees at the three-day congress, and more than 14,000 youth on Youth Day.

The various fundraisers scheduled this year will provide the opportunity for the catechists and teens to attend workshops that develop their Catholic faith, Masses from different cultures, displays from different countries, guest speakers and an arena filled with Catholic books, items of interest, products to enhance the classrooms and help to educate the children of the parish.

Along with plants, produce, Chinese pretzels, Chex mix, lilikoi butter and a variety of cookies, Marie’s banana bread and pickles, and Sharon’s fruit cakes again will be available. A table of Christmas and religious items will be offered for sale and a concession will be onsite.

The craft vendors participating this year will bring a unique variety of products to the two-day event. Items include fabric bags, hooded towels, pan covers, hair wraps, baby items, gift sets, handmade jewelry, kitchen towels and mason jar mugs.

On Sunday only, Charlene Luiz will have her handmade koa necklaces, earrings, bracelets, backscratchers and a selection of koa jewelry boxes.

All are invited to attend.
