The University of Hawaii at Hilo College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) is offering a one-day workshop about finance and accounting for beginners from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Friday in Campus Center Room 306. Tuition is $150.

The University of Hawaii at Hilo College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) is offering a one-day workshop about finance and accounting for beginners from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Friday in Campus Center Room 306. Tuition is $150.

“Finance and Accounting for Non-Financial People” will cover all the essential elements of finance and accounting in easy-to-understand laymen terms. Participants also will learn how to apply and use the information to operate more efficiently and successfully.

Instructor Linda Sheldon has more than 40 years of professional experience working in all facets of business, from inventory stock clerk to CFO, and most recently CEO. She is adept at the skills necessary to reduce overhead costs, avoid legal implications, increase the bottom line, and improve overall business quality.

This class is eligible for a subsidy through the Employment &Training Fund.
