The detour around Kamehameha Avenue and Pauahi Street intersection to enter Bayfront Highway through Hilo Bayfront Park (also known as Bayfront Highway canoe area) will be closed Friday, Nov. 7, in preparation for Veteran’s Day activities.
The detour also will be closed on the following holidays: Tuesday, Nov. 4, General Election Day; Tuesday, Nov. 11, Veterans Day; Thursday, Nov. 27, Thanksgiving.
The detour is open 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and closed weekends and holidays.
