Ernestine “Ernie” Evelyn Felton, 94, of Kawaihae died May 29 at her foster care home in Hilo. Born in Olympia, Wash., she was a homemaker and co-owner of Kawaihae Concrete. Graveside services will be held at noon Nov. 10 at the West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery in Kailua-Kona. Survived by sons, Odean Osborne of Post Falls, Idaho, Larry (Chirs) Felton of Richland, Wash.; daughter, Kathy (Jim) Woodburn of Portland, Ore.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren. Glen Norman Felton, 88, of Kawaihae died March 17 in a Honolulu hospital. Born in Moscow, Idaho, he was co-owner of Kawaihae Concrete and a U.S. Air Force World War II veteran. Graveside services with military honors to be held at noon Nov. 10 at the West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery in Kailua-Kona. Survived by sons, Larry (Chris) Felton of Richland, Wash., Odean Osborne of Post Falls, Idaho; daughter, Kathy (Jim) Woodburn of Portland, Ore.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

Larry “Mike” Michael Haux, 62, of Kealakekua died Oct. 11 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Billings, Montana, he was a journeyman carpenter. Private services to be held. Survived by wife, Mary-Jayne Haux of Kealakekua; son, Michael Haux of Ft. Benning, Ga.; brother, Steve Haux of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; sisters, Sandy (Jim) Entler of Portland, Ore., Cathy (Mike) Carnes of Washougal, Wash.; and three grandchildren. Vilmafe Blanco Jara, 48, of Naalehu died Oct. 27 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Pangasinan, Philippines, she was a macadamia nut harvester for Mac Farms Hawaii and a member of the Naalehu Assembly of God Church. Friends may call at 5 p.m. Nov. 7 at the family’s residence at 95-5539 Mamalahoa Highway in Naalehu, across from the Naalehu Elementary School, for a 7 p.m. wake service.
