James “Jim” Ralph Clark, 79, of Ocean View died July 30 at Kona Community Hospital. Born Jan. 13, 1935, in Tucson, Ariz., he was a retired pressman, toastmaster, contract bridge player, author of “Bounty Man” and U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War. Service noon Wednesday, Oct. 8, at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery for a service. Mitsuyo Takahashi, 98, of Keaau and formerly of Hilo died Sept. 21 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Waimea, she was a housewife. Services held. No flowers or Koden (monetary gifts).
