Henry “Hank” Tilden Swan III, 92, of Kailua-Kona died Sept. 17 at the Regency at Hualalai. Born in Philadelphia, he retired as assistant director of parks and recreation for the city of Phoenix. He was past-president of the American Parks and Recreation Society and the Arizona Parks and Recreation Association; a distinguished fellow member of the American Park Society and honorary life member of the Arizona Parks and Recreation Association, a trustee of the National Recreation and Park Association, founder and president of Leisure Living Inc. in Phoenix, president of the Kona Hiking Club, vice president of the Mauna Kea Astronomical Society, a member of the Kona Outdoor Circle, Kona Historical Society and Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce, authored the “Zestful Living” and “The Feelings” handbooks and conducted workshops from New York to Hawaii, and was a 2nd lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve during World Ware II. Private services to be held. King You Yee, 93, of Hilo died Sept. 6 at Hilo Medical Center.
