The County of Hawaii Elections Division is in the process of recruiting precinct workers to assist with the General Election on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

“Recruitment is open and we are looking for reliable, enthusiastic team players to join our team,” said Elections Division spokeswoman Kui Kama.

Workers are to report to their assigned polling places by 5:30 a.m., and will be dismissed at approximately 6:30 p.m. Voting hours are 7 a.m.-6 p.m. Volunteers might be compensated anywhere from $85-$175, depending on their assigned position type.

Targeted precincts for recruitment are in the Ka‘u, South Kona, Hookena and Kailua-Kona areas. Positions in the Hilo and Puna districts will be on an alternate basis, but volunteers still are encouraged to sign up in case of any cancellations.
