The Volcano Art Center presents the final in a summer series of “Sunset Hula” performances today with an encore performance by na kumu Leilehua Yuen and Manu Josiah with Halau Hula LeiManu.

The performance begins at 6 p.m. in the outdoor setting of the kahua hula (platform) near the Kilauea Visitor Center in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

The couple are known for their informances, in which they blend storytelling, science, chant and hula to create a journey through Hawaiian history and culture. Join them and some of their haumana (students) for an evening of traditional chant and hula at Kilauea.

Audience members are encouraged to bring sun/rain gear and sitting mats. The event is free but park entrance fees apply.
