The County of Hawaii Immigration Information Office, in collaboration with the Exchange Club of Hilo, is seeking names of those who have taken the Oath of U.S. Citizenship from September 2013 to September 2014.
These individuals will be honored at the annual Citizenship Day ceremony on Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the Edith Kanaka’ole Multipurpose Stadium.
Sept. 17 is Citizenship Day, a federal holiday established by Congress in 2004. It is celebrated throughout the country as a day to honor and celebrate the privileges and responsibilities of U.S. Citizenship.
It also serves as a means for American citizens to express their pride in their citizenship.
Those who were naturalized by the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), in Honolulu from September 2013 to September 2014 are encouraged to participate in this auspicious ceremony.
