The grapes are in, which means it’s time for the 2014 Volcano Winery Harvest Festival. This year’s festival is a benefit for Volcano School of Arts &Sciences. Enjoy an afternoon of wine, music and food from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 14, at the Volcano Winery at 35 Pi‘i Mauna Drive in the Volcano Golf Course subdivision.

Music will be provided by Grammy Award winner Keoki Kahumoku and Friends, including performances by some of the talented students from Volcano School of Arts &Sciences.

Food will be provided courtesy of Volcano House and other local restaurants, and, of course, plenty of wine from the vineyards will be flowing.

To purchase tickets for this community event, call the Volcano Winery at 967-7772. Tickets are $40 and all proceeds will go to support STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) programs at the public charter school. Ticket sales are limited and always sell out.

The school serves students in grades K-8 from Ocean View to Mountain View in a hands-on, place-based, supportive learning community.
