Sister Florence Remata, 75, of Honolulu died Aug. 3 at The Queen’s Medical Center. Born in Waimea, Kauai, she was minister of the Hawaii-Southwest Region of Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities and a former teacher and vice principal at St. Joseph School in Hilo. Visitation 3:30-4:45 p.m. Tuesday at St. Pius X Church in Manoa, Honolulu. Liturgy of Christian Burial at 5 p.m. Reception to follow in parish hall. Burial 9 a.m. Wednesday the next day at Diamond Head Cemetery. No flowers.
