Police charged the second of four persons wanted for fraudulent use of a credit card.
At 10:15 a.m. Friday, Colvin Gaspar, 22, of Kailua-Kona was charged with fraudulent use of a credit card, second-degree theft, unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, driving without a license, driving without insurance, unauthorized entry of a dwelling, promoting a dangerous drug and possessing drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $61,250. He is being detained at the Kona police cellblock pending his initial court appearance scheduled for Monday.
Gaspar was arrested at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday in Kailua-Kona. He was one of four people sought for using a credit card after it was stolen from a car July 23 on Kuakini Highway.
On July 25, Gaspar fled from police in a car later reported stolen. The car has since been recovered.
The day of his arrest, Gaspar entered a house without permission to hide from the police. After officers located him inside and arrested him, he was found to be in possession of crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Two other persons are still wanted in connection with the credit card fraud investigation.
Luke Kaniaupia, 21, of Kailua-Kona is described as 5-foot-6, 165 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
Leilani Parent, 26, of Kailua-Kona is described as 5-foot-5, 140 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of either of these individuals is asked to call the police nonemergency line at 935-3311. Those who prefer anonymity may call Crime Stoppers and could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
