Gov. Neil Abercrombie and Hawaii Department of Agriculture Chair Scott Enright will present a $1.6 million check on behalf of the state’s Agribusiness Development Corporation to the Daniel K. Inouye U.S. Pacific Basin Agricultural Research Center’s zero-waste biofuel and high-protein feed program.

Gov. Neil Abercrombie and Hawaii Department of Agriculture Chair Scott Enright will present a $1.6 million check on behalf of the state’s Agribusiness Development Corporation to the Daniel K. Inouye U.S. Pacific Basin Agricultural Research Center’s zero-waste biofuel and high-protein feed program.

The presentation to Lisa Keith, research plant pathologist and program manager for Hilo-based PBARC, and Eudes de Crecy, CEO of BioTork Hawaii, which is partnering with PBARC in the program, will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday in the governor’s ceremonial room at the state capitol.
