Richard Johnson, incoming president of the Rotary Club of Hilo, extended his congratulations and gratitude to outgoing president Kerry Glass at the club’s recent installation ceremonies at Wailoa State Park.

Richard Johnson, incoming president of the Rotary Club of Hilo, extended his congratulations and gratitude to outgoing president Kerry Glass at the club’s recent installation ceremonies at Wailoa State Park.

Johnson is the 95th president of the club. Past-president Gay Porter served as the installing officer.

Other officers for 2014-15 include Wally Wong, president-elect; Mitchell Dodo, vice president; Kerry Glass, immediate past-president; Susan Munro, secretary; Corey Kawamoto, treasurer; and Cindy Boots, sergeant-at-arms.

Newly installed club directors include Alan Kusunoki, foundations; Christina Dhillon, membership; Alberta Dobbe, public relations; Jenny Johnson, international service; Misti Tyrin, community service; Biff Kennedy, vocational service; Glenn Harris, New Generations Service; and Tom Brown, club service.

The Rotary Club of Hilo was chartered Dec. 1, 1920. The club, through its members, always has been committed to create positive, lasting change in the community and around the world.
