Arnold “Arnie” Takao Asato, 57, of Hilo died June 6. Born in Hilo, he worked for 26 years with the Hawaii County Hilo Municipal Golf Course Golf Course as an operations assistant and was a member of the Hustlers Golf Club, the Wreckers Golf Club, Palaka Golf Club, 3+9 Golf Club, Hawaii Island Golf Association/Hilo Muni Golf Club Handicapping Committee and the Ikenobo Ikebana Society, and was a youth baseball coach. Celebration of life will be Tuesday, July 15, at Aunty Sally’s Luau Hale. Visitation at 3 p.m., services at 5 p.m. Colorful attire requested.
