On the weekend of May 31-June 1, the “Click It or Ticket” High School Basketball Championship were held at Papaikou Gym. More than 100 youths from 12 teams participated in the tournament.

Kohala ran past the Kona Stingrays 66-40 to claim the championship. Big Island Interscholastic Division II Player of the Year Kealen Figueroa led Kohala with 15 points. Tolby Saito scored 25 for the Stingrays in the loss.

On the same weekend, HI-PAL and B-Elite co-hosted the Honomu Fun Day Click it or Ticket tournament. Eight teams participated in the event, with Ballaz Inc. winning both the 8-and-under division and 10-and-under division titles.
